Melamine is one of the toughest decorative surface on the market. The same surface material as used on kitchen worktop surfaces. The mats and coasters are on a 4.8 board with a domed sealed edge, with a black baize backing. The surface is cured under high pressure in a heated press to withstand temperatures of 140 degree.C
